The HY2180 is a lightweight cordless sander from Hyundai, forming part of their extensive 20V MAX Range of power tools and garden machinery. Powered by a 20V MAX lithium-ion 2 Amp-hour battery, this is the ideal sander for smaller woodworking tasks including restoring furniture, sanding door frames and prepping wood for painting.
The sander includes a generous 12 sanding pads of various degrees of courseness, and are easily fit to the sander using a hook and loop system.
At just 1.46kg, this cordless sander is comfortable to use and also features an ergonomic soft grip handle, which helps reduce vibrations and further increases comfort when using the sander over longer periods of time. Let the weight of the sander do the work as it effortlessly sands away at your workpiece.
To make using this battery sander as easy as possible to use, the HY2180 features a straight forward dust protected rocker switch and simple 6 speed dial to adjust the speed of the sander (from 6000-12,000rpm no load speed).
It’s quick and easy to use out of the box, simply attach a charged 20V MAX 2.0Ah battery and the included dust collector bag and sanding pad and get started straight away.
Under optimum conditions, this cordless sander has an average battery life of 85 minutes, but this is dependent on a range of factors such as the type of surface being sanded and the condition or age of the battery and machine.
